Beaver Creek, Colo., June 30, 2026 – The Vilar Performing Arts Center just opened its summer season, kicking off a slate of more than 30 shows from stars such as Maren Morris, Graham Nash, Brothers Osborne, Little Feat, The Bacon Brothers, and more.
Tucked beneath the ice rink in the heart of Beaver Creek Village, this intimate 530-seat theater offers a rare combination: major artists performing up close, just steps away from world-class mountain activities including hiking and biking trails, golf courses, and horseback riding — plus spas, Michelin-recommended restaurants, and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Rockies.

When it opened in 1998, the Vilar was the only performing arts venue built inside a mountain resort community, and its underground design still sets it apart nearly three decades later. Discovering it is half the fun: many visitors don’t realize it exists until they’re inside.
What greets them is a horseshoe-shaped seating layout inspired by 19th-century European opera houses, where clear sightlines and intimate scale make every seat feel like the front row. Warm knotty pine walls create acoustics so refined that touring performers routinely call the Vilar one of the best venues they’ve ever played. A Dale Chihuly chandelier adorns the upper lobby, adding a touch of old-world glamour rarely found in a mountain town.

The Vilar continues to invest in the guest and artist experience. As part of a $6.1 million capital investment over the past five years, the upper lobby was recently redesigned to add a full-service bar, dedicated bistro seating area, and coat check for ski boots and bags, along with upgrades to artist green rooms and dressing rooms. A gift from Dori and David Meyers further secured the building’s future, establishing the Eskenazi Meyers Theatre Fund: an endowment dedicated to the venue’s long-term upkeep.
“Many people come to Beaver Creek to experience the mountains: the trails, the golf, the views, the village and the sense of escape. What makes this place extraordinary is that the mountain experience here also includes exceptional performances in a one-of-a-kind theater, embedded right in the heart of it all,” said Cameron Morgan, Executive Director of the Vilar Performing Arts Center. “The Vilar gives guests something rare: the chance to spend the day exploring the Rockies and end the night just a few feet from remarkable artists, in a room known for its intimacy, beauty and extraordinary acoustics.”
