New! Expanded Community Ticket Program
We’re excited to expand our Community Arts Access (CAA) program to include FREE TICKETS to select Vilar performances. This community-focused program is an initiative of the Vail Valley Foundation, which operates and programs the Vilar, Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, and Vail Dance Festival. CAA is designed to connect Eagle River Valley locals with the performing arts by providing FREE TICKETS to select performances.
A minimum of four tickets are up for grabs for each of the performances listed in the ‘request tickets’ form below. Eligible individuals may choose three performances they would like to attend. CAA tickets are distributed via a lottery system and are intended for Eagle River Valley full-time residents. Tickets will be emailed to lottery winners at least one week before the performance. Tickets will be issued in pairs and lottery winners will be notified one week before the performance. The CAA program does not include third-party rentals at the Vilar.
About the Vilar’s Community Arts Access Program
The arts are a fundamental component to a healthy community. Our program ensures that residents from every corner of Eagle County have the chance to be inspired by world-class performances on our stage. We partner with local non-profits, schools and educational programs, healthcare providers, government entities, local businesses and more to distribute complimentary tickets to community members who otherwise would not or could not attend our performances.
Expanding access to the arts has always been integral to our mission. In 2018, that commitment took a more focused shape with the informal distribution of complimentary tickets to underserved community members. Community Arts Access was formally introduced in 2020 as a program to further our commitment to accessibility and community engagement by eliminating barriers and creating opportunities for all to experience the power of live performance.
The CAA program continues to expand its reach, providing free or reduced-price access to performances for under-resourced or under-served members of our community. Through this program, we partnered with 20 local nonprofits and educators from 16 different schools to distribute 1,840 tickets this past year.
From June 2024 to May 2025, we distributed 1,840 FREE TICKETS for performances to local community members — A $108,513 VALUE!
Looking ahead, we are focused on expanding the reach and impact of the CAA program, and aim to distribute 2,250+ tickets annually through this program by 2027. While ticket affordability opens doors for audiences, meaningful access also means creating pathways for individuals to build familiarity, confidence and opportunity with the many facets of the performing arts.
Recently, the program introduced heavily discounted tickets for high-demand performances such as Jerry Seinfeld and Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen.

Community Testimonial
My husband, a wildland firefighter, and I were treated to a very intimate gathering with Leftover Salmon at the Vilar Performing Arts Center. To call our experience fantastic is an understatement! It was so wonderful to be able to see live music again and by the excitement shown by the audience we weren’t the only ones feeling like this. Thank you so much to Vilar, their sponsors, staff, and volunteers for making this great program for the Eagle Valley Community!!! Bringing live music back during these trying times is the medicine we ALL need!” — Kelly Conrad, Paramedic with Eagle County Paramedic Services
“I went online to buy tickets for Jerry Seinfeld but was crushed when I saw the prices, which are obviously out of most teachers price range. Just knowing that I have the CHANCE to buy an affordable ticket warmed my heart more than I can explain!” — Eagle County Teacher
More CAA at the VVF
The Vail Valley Foundation works to broaden perspectives, empower our community, and uplift the people. That’s why Community Arts Access is so important to us. Similar to the Vilar, CAA offerings are available for Amp Summer Concerts and Vail Dance Festival performances at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.
