A multi-talented cast of nine handsome guys combines hair-raising harmonies, foot-stomping singalongs, world-class tap dance and poetic meditations on the power of community in this riotously enjoyable homage to that gathering place we’ve all missed so much over the last year: your local pub. Imagine the greatest pub gig you’ve ever been to and multiply it by 10 and you’ll still be nowhere near the fun that this show exudes throughout. The cast features tap dancers, poets, instrumentalists and singers, ensuring that there is something for everyone. It quickly becomes apparent that these are multi-talented young men who can switch from instrument to instrument while singing a diverse range of musical styles. They harmonize. They sing solos. They tell jokes, tease and taunt each other. And they dance. The cast comes with immense experience having starred in past productions of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat,” “RENT,” “Les Misérables,” “In the Heights” and “West Side Story” to name just a few!
The musical soundtrack for “The Choir of Man” shows off the cast’s diverse range. “Save Tonight/Wake Me Up” combines Eagle-Eye Cherry’s classic song with the legendary Avicii song. From Fun’s “Some Nights” to Rupert Holmes’ “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)” to SIA’s “Chandelier,” the musical soundtrack alone brings the ultimate feel-good entertainment.
