The Nutcracker Ballet Presented by Vail Friends of Dance

Vail Friends of Dance presents a holiday classic “The Nutcracker Ballet” featuring the Vail Youth Ballet Company with guest artists, Michael Stone and Nathan Crewe-Kluge, students from Vail Valley Academy of Dance, and community members. A Christmas Eve gift of a toy nutcracker from her godfather transports Clara on a magical journey to a world of fantasy complete with a battle between the Nutcracker Prince and Rat Queen, Mother Ginger with her children and a Sugar Plum Fairy in the dazzling Land of Sweets. Enjoy falling snow and a parade of international dances at this holiday classic. Sparkling costumes and impressive choreography will simply take your breath away. Tickets are $38 with four performances:  Friday, December 13, 7 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday, December 15, 2 pm. Join us again or start a new holiday tradition with your loved ones and recapture Christmas through the eyes of a child. This holiday family favorite is sure to sell out quickly.  Come join us early for our Silent Auctions prior to all performances.  Lobby doors open 1 hour before curtain.
