Nu Deco Ensemble

Led by Jacomo Bairos [Co-Artistic Director and Conductor] and Sam Hyken [CEO and Co-Artistic Director), Nu Deco Ensemble redefines what an orchestra is in the 21st century. The ensemble has been gaining a reputation as one of the world’s most exciting and innovative classical ensembles, known for blending genres and bringing new, dynamic energy to the classical music world. They aim to create transformative musical experiences that inspire and connect by building a collaborative, inclusive, and sustainable community of artists, students, and audiences.

Nu Deco Ensemble originated in Miami, Florida in 2015. Since then, the orchestra has performed with everyone from Robert Glasper, Wyclef Jean, X Ambassadors, Lawrence, Madison Cunningham, Macy Gray, Ben Folds, Jacob Collier, Angélique Kidjo, Emily King, Bilal, and countless others. They have generated millions of streams across releases such as Nu Deco Ensemble, Paint The Roses (Live In Concert) with Larkin Poe, A Live Sensation with Luke James, and Still Cruisin’ – An Orchestral Tribute to The Beach Boys. Among their many fans, Variety hailed the viral “Humans vs. Robots (Daft Punk Suite)” as a “symphonic salute,” Billboard called them “sonically spellbinding,” and The New York Times christened the collective a “Chamber orchestra for the 21st century.”
