Mountains & Minds: Daytime Session [POSTPONED]
Saturday Sep 14, 2024 10:00 am
Demand is increasing for mental and behavioral health services in Colorado’s mountain towns and across the country. According to the CDC, more than 1 in 5 adults in America experience mental illness every year. Even more concerning, over 1 in 5 youth (ages 13-18) either currently or at some point during their life, have had a seriously debilitating mental illness.
Presented in partnership by the Vail Symposium, Benj Gershman (O.A.R., What Could Be Bad podcast), and the Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC), Mountains & Minds is a mental health summit that aims to strengthen community by elevating and destigmatizing mental health conversations. The event will be held September 13-14, 2024, at the VPAC in Beaver Creek.
Breakfast for Active US Military, Veterans and First Responders. Taking place in Beaver Creek Village at Alpine + Antlers restaurant. Chef Robert Irvine and The Robert Irvine Foundation bring the Breaking Bread with Heroes program to Mountains & Minds by providing a meal to local heroes in recognition of their contributions. This breakfast is personally curated by Robert based on his career as a veteran, celebrity chef, and long-time supporter of our military and first responder communities. Gathered around a table, our heroes have an opportunity to talk, listen, and share like family.
