Live in the May Gallery is a new artistic initiative, presenting spectacular artists from a global landscape of acoustic music in the intimacy and allure of the venue’s private lounge known as The May Gallery. Performers hail from a wide variety of genres and styles, including jazz, classical, folk and more, curated specifically to be enjoyed in a salon or club-like format.

Guitar icon Bill Frisell’s career has spanned more than 40 years and many celebrated recordings, most recently on the Blue Note label. He has a GRAMMY Award and six nominations to his credit, among a very long list of honors. Frisell has repeatedly been voted Guitarist of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association and he’s won the DownBeat Critics Poll several times in the past three decades. He was also recognized by the Doris Duke Foundation as one of America’s 21 most vital and productive performing artists. Bill has been dreaming about his new project, In My Dreams. A new group with long-standing collaborators. He thinks of it as a family gathering. A reunion… getting together with his closest friends. Their history goes back decades, but never before in this particular configuration. Bill exclaims, “I’m coming up on a half century with Hank! I’ve spent so much time with these folks. Traveled many miles. But that doesn’t mean we’re done. There’s still much unfinished business. We’re just getting started.”
