Daytime music, activities, and deals will complement evening performances
The Vilar Performing Arts Center’s Mardi Gras Celebration February 4-7 continues to grow with the addition of rising New Orleans talent and expanded village-wide festivities. At the center of the four-night celebration are two headlining evenings with The Revivalists (Feb. 6-7), along with A Celebration of The Meters: Dumpstaphunk featuring George Porter Jr. and Cyril Neville (Feb. 5), and an intimate onstage performance with Alfredo Rodriguez & Pedrito Martinez (Feb. 4), where audience members will be seated on the Vilar stage alongside the artists.
Fast-rising New Orleans singer-songwriter Olivia Barnes has been handpicked by The Revivalists to open both of their performances, while Alex Wasily, the trombonist for Dumpstaphunk, will kick off A Celebration of The Meters with a DJ set.
Concertgoers for all four evenings can enjoy $11 Hurricane specials, the quintessential New Orleans cocktail, to feel truly transported to Bourbon Street.
Beaver Creek Village will join the Vilar’s celebration with Mardi Gras-themed events and deals throughout the long weekend, including:
Thursday, Feb. 5
- Pop-up Après throughout the village from 3:00-4:30 p.m., featuring live music by the d’Lovelies, Mardi Gras bites from local restaurants, and themed activations (with beads, of course!)
- Thursday Night Lights from 4:30-6:00 p.m., featuring a mountain ski-down with glow necklaces followed by fireworks and a DJ set
Friday, Feb. 6
- Mardi Gras-themed live music from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

- Happy hour with Mardi Gras jugglers from 3:00-5:00 p.m., plus beads distributed at local retail shops
