NEVIN STEINBERG, Hamilton’s Sound Designer: Nevin Steinberg’s recent projects include Hamilton on Broadway, in London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and on US Tour; Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, in London and on US Tour, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical in the West End, Hamburg, Utrecht and on Broadway, Hadestown (Tony Award) on Broadway, Freestyle Love Supreme on Broadway, Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s Bright Star on Broadway and Rodgers+ Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Tony nomination). He designed over thirty Broadway productions with Acme Sound Partners and received five additional Tony nominations for The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, Fences, Hair, In The Heights. Steinberg serves as the Audio Consultant for Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College in English and American Literature and Language, and in 2011 completed a Certificate Program in Arts Management at NYU’s School for Continuing Professional Studies. Nevin is Trustee of the Town Hall Foundation, Inc., the non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and support of The Town Hall, a cultural and education center as well as a national historic landmark in the center of Times Square in New York City.
CONOR WANG, Sound Designer: Connor Wang was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was first involved in theatre as a pantomime. Ironically, he now makes sound for a living. As a graduate from The Theatre School at DePaul University, he advocates for diversity and inclusion as a Sound Designer/Engineer. ABOUT MEET THE EXPERTS: LEARN ABOUT THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY—FIRST HAND!
As part of a career-preparedness series, learn about the entertainment industry and the different opportunities available to those inspired by the arts! From performing on stage to production and management, there is a lot more to learn than meets the eye as an audience member. This series will consist of performers and professionals that represent many genres and those who make it happen. Meet the Expert will provide an eye opening opportunity to understand the everyday practices of professionals in the theater world. The sessions are aimed towards 6th -12th graders across Eagle County. Meet the Expert aims to reach a new age bracket, not normally served by STARS, reaching out to middle and high school students with insightful information for career development or inspiration. The VPAC will present artists and professionals who will lead a 45-60 minute session where they talk about their career, combined with a presentation or performance and live Q&A.

WHEN: Select Wednesday’s at 1:00pm MST. Each session will last approximately 40-60 minutes.
WHO: The series is designed for Eagle County students 6th – 12th grade.
