Want to enjoy an evening of inspiring films with friends and family? Join Mountainfilm on Tour and the dZi Foundation in Beaver Creek! We’ll be bringing the best films from the Mountainfilm Festival to the Vilar Center.
The evening will be hosted by Jim Nowak, dZi Foundation’s President and Co-founder, and he will share about dZi’s incredible work in Nepal that inspired The Last Honey Hunter – one of the evening’s feature films. All proceeds from the evening will directly support dZi’s programs. It’s a night of adventure and culture that you won’t want to miss!
The dZi Foundation, Mountainfilm’s nonprofit partner, works in partnership with remote communities in Nepal to create lasting improvements in their quality of life. The Last Honey Hunter film came about as a result of the dZi Foundation’s work in the small village of Saadi, Nepal. dZi’s long-term approach built trust with the honey hunters and their community over nearly a decade, which is what granted the filmmakers such intimate access to this amazing and threatened tradition. The dZi Foundation is working closely with community of Saadi to help preserve their important way of life for coming generations.
