“Maybe you haven’t heard of singer Greg Holden – yet – but you’ve certainly heard his handiwork [on Phillip Phillips’ ‘Home’]…Holden’s sound fits into a similar alt-folk, Mumford and Sons-like genre.” – People Magazine
“Greg Holden…makes soaring, purpose-filled songs that carry real emotional weight.” – BuzzFeed
Singer and songwriter Greg Holden has made a name for himself as an independent artist for the past several years. Now, the Scottish-born, England-bred, New York-based artist is becoming known for the passionate, purpose-driven rock songs on his major-label debut album, Chase The Sun, which features “Hold On Tight” and the incredible “Boys In The Street.” Following his success writing the massive hits “Home” and “The Lost Boy,” Holden embarked on a career-changing trip to India and Nepal in 2013, which revitalized his passion for the music business. On this trip he gained a new perspective about making music and found the inspiration necessary to write Chase The Sun. The album, produced by Greg Wells is modern, yet timeless, brimming with tough, vibrant energy that thoroughly showcases Holden’s lean, literate songwriting. The moving “Boys In The Street” is quickly emerging as a standout track on the album, being featured as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1 and Lowe being quoted saying, “Greg Holden, ‘Boys In The Street’: what a record. What a song. Absolutely amazing.”
“What immediately made me fall for this song was Holden’s upbeat pop-folk vibe. He’s the type of artist that makes you want to sing along even if you’re not sure of the words yet, but let me tell you, you’re going to want to listen closely to his lyrics. Beneath the infectious sound of “Hold on Tight” is a message that will make you think.” – InStyle Magazine
“…it might stem from his spot-on lyrical relatability or perhaps it’s the pain-relieving arrangements of his acoustic strums that constantly has his fans yearning for more. Whatever your appeal, one thing’s for certain. Holden’s music is the DSLR camera able to take the most vivid snapshots of our human condition.” – Music Baeble
